Golden Cougar Band of Pride!

GCBB Student Physicals To Be Offered
Physicals will be offered to members of next fall's GCMB this Wednesday, June 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. at Heritage United Methodist Church's Lighthouse building. The address for Heritage is 2680 Landmark Drive, which is on the corner of CR580 and Landmark Drive. The Lighthouse, where the physicals will be given, is located in a smaller building behind the main church. Students will need to bring the Preparticipation Physical Eveluation form, which can be found in your forms packet, with page 1 completed and signed. Students also need to bring $15 with them to pay for the physical. Cash is preferred but checks made out to GCBB are accepted. To sign up for the physical, you must contact Marianne Lehman at 727-669-7194 or by email at mlehman6@tampabay.rr.com no later than Sunday June 14th to register. The physical exam will be performed by a licensed ARNP and band parent Marianne Lehman will be in attendance.

Percussion & Color Guard Summer Camp
Members of the Color Guard and Percussion will be participating in their Summer Camp this August 2nd thru August 9th. The daily sessions will start each day at 9:00 am and will go to 2:00.

Marching Band & Color Guard Summer Camp
Members of the Marching Band and Color Guard will be participating in their Summer Camp this August 10th thru August 14th. The daily sessions will start each day at 9:00 am and will go to 6:00. At the end of the camp there will be a End of Day performance for parents and family members. A ice cream social will follow the performance.

Golden Cougar Band Wins Seminole Sound Spectacular
The Countryside Golden Cougar Marching Band won the Silver Divison at this years prestigious Seminole Sound Spectacular Competetion held Septmeber 27th. The Silver Division consisted of bands from Dunedin, Largo, Clearwater and Countryside High Schools. The Golden Cougars, with their "The Thin Line" theme, won Best in their Division as well as the Best Woodwinds section and the Best Drum Major. Congratulations to Drum Major Ben Tomlin, Woodwind Captain Phil Nettle, and section leaders Shelby Hanna and John Lindert. The next competition on the schedule will take place at East Lake High School on Saturday October 25th.
